We were upfront from the start that we weren’t buying immediately. We wanted to see a few properties to get a feel for the current market and area since we’d lived nearby over 10 years ago and wanted to see how things had changed. The agent took our call, discussed our search criteria, and even set up a calendar invite to meet in person during our trip. We planned our visit around that appointment. The day before we were set to meet, the agent called to ask what we were looking for, information we had already provided weeks earlier. She then told us she wouldn’t show us any properties because we weren’t ready to buy right away. If timeline was going to be a dealbreaker, that should have been communicated when we first reached out, not the day before a scheduled meeting, after we’d already built our trip around it. We wasted weeks assuming we had a plan in place. Needless to say, we will be working with a different company for our relocation.
